Gandhi Memorial: This place is tomb shaped constructed in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi, the freedom fighter and revolutionist of India. His ashes were placed in an urn at this place for public view when he passed away in the year 1948, later it was immersed into the sea where the three ocean converges. Government museum of Kanyakumari: This is a museum which is situated near the tourist office in beach road. It is maintained by the local government, this museum contains tribal objects, botanical and zoological specimens, coins etc and as an addition it contains whale bones. Entry fee for Indian citizens- Rs.5 and for foreigners Rs.100. It will be opened from 10.am to 5.30 pm, Fridays and second Saturdays holidays.

Muttom: Muttom is a beautiful village in the district of Kanyakumari, which has a beach where it is sandy on one side and rocky on the other and fishing is the main occupation of the local habitats. It has a light house a church built by the catholic community in Portuguese architecture called the all saints church. It is 75 km from the Kanyakumari International airport and 34 km from the Kanyakumari district.
The Muttom beach is the most visited place in the village of Muttom as it is considered as one of the cleanest beaches in south India.

Thengapattinam beach: This is yet another beach in the district of Kanyakumari which is located 54 km from the district. It is situated in panikulam village and the interesting aspects about this beach is that it is surrounded by coconut trees all around and if you are there anytime don't forget to take a ride on the catamaran ( a small boat) and you can avail this facility through the local fishermen. As it is encased by trees, this place is very shady in nature and can be opted as perfect picnic spot.
Chothavali or Sotha Vilai beach: This is considered to be one of the longest village in Tamilnadu as it stretches over 4 Km. The beach is well maintained as it attracts many tourist people from the local and other places in the state, as one see a well groomed green out field. The water is shallow which makes feasible for swimming, it is 10 km away from Kanyakumari and very close to another beach, Sanguthurai.

Kolachel or Colachel beach: This beach is situated in a place called Colachel, which is a Taluk and it is around 20km away from Kanyakumari and falls in the north west region of the district. The beach has red soil which is very beautiful to see when seen in real and it has a light house which acts as a landmark and adds certain amount of elegance to the place.
The other attraction elements of the beach are its grey sea and palm trees grown along the side of the beach.

Thirparappu waterfalls: This falls is originated from a river called Kodayar river and is located at a distance of 58 kilometers from Kanyakumari, The waterfall tumbles from a height of 90 meters (300 feet long) riverbed. This is also close to Pechiparai dam, which is another location where you can hang upon. Bathing permitted in this place, so one can enjoy the pouring water from the riverbed, so know your trip about this place. Review about this place.

Vattaparai waterfalls: This is a small waterfall which is about 32 km from Kanyakumari and it lies amidst the wild life sanctuary which is spread on a 20 km square feet area, and falls stream through the hills and the plantations on the hills, and thus people come here to take bath as the water is believed to have some medicinal benefits.
This falls also has an additional attraction which is the reserve forest, called as the Keeriparai reserve forest.

Pechiparai water reservoir and dam:The reservoir is located at a distance of 68 kilometers from Kanyakumari and is built during 19th century between 1897-1906 by a British engineer called, Mr. Minchin and was called Mookanthurai by the local villagers, this water body lies among a green plateau surrounded by mountains, which gives an elegant look and feel to this place. There is also a dam called, Pechiparai dam attached to this reservoir and the water is used for irrigation of crops, drinking.
The mountain around this is covered with dense forest which gives habitation to many wild animals such as elephant, tigers, wolves, deer etc. So an interesting place to visit when you are you are in Kanyakumari. The image will portray the scenic beauty of the Pechiparai reservoir.

Vattakotai Fort: The triangular shaped fort is just 4 kilometers from kanyakumari and is lies on the coastal region which is built in the period of 18th century for the purpose of coastal defence. This is one of the historical places to visit which has walls of 25 to 30 feet high, made by granite blocks. The government has made renovation works recently to attract more tourists to this place.

Padmanabapuram palace: This place is about 34 km from kanyakumari and situated in padmanabapuram fort in Kanyakumar. The palace is built during the period of seventeenth century by Iravi Varma Kulasekhara perumal who ruled Travencore during that period. Then later in 1750 Anizham Thirual perumal re-built it and dedicated to his faily deity, sree Padmanaba or they can also be called as servant of Lord Padmanadba.

Mathur Hanging bridge:It is an aqueduct for which the length of the flume is 1240 feet and considered as one of the longest aqueduct in south India, that runs across the river Pahrali. One can reach this destination by train by getting down at Kulithurai railway station. It has 28 span of pillars height of which is 115 ft.

Chitharal Jain Monuments: This place is situated in the village of Chitharal village which is 55 kilometers from Kanyakumari and is maintained from 9th century from different Jain groups, Jains are people who follow the religion Jainism. Udayagiri Fort: This fort was built in the period of 17th century and was used as a prison by the Travancore rulers and was built by the King of Travancore, Marthanda Varma under the supervision of the Dutch East India company and later he became the chief for Travancore Army.
Recent research made by the archaeological team was able to discover that there are underground tunnels build under the fort. People who visit this place, get to see some herbivorous animals, such as deer, birds, fountains etc.
